    ♣ Thought of the Week

Sit down and ask these two questions to yourself.

    ♣ Tech

◘ Mark Zuckerberg’s Rebrand: Calculated or Real?

The video questions the sudden, suspicious makeover of Mark Zuckerberg, from a shy CEO to an MMA fighter and waterskier. Is his new masculine image a genuine shift, or a calculated PR move to distract from Meta’s issues and strategically avoid government regulation?

    ♣ Creator Economy

◘ The Crisis of Creativity and “Death of the Follower”

Patreon CEO Jack Conte believes the internet is witnessing the “death of the follower,” which is a significant development for how creators connect with their fans. He points out in this video that the “Subscribe” button used to be extremely important, allowing creators to build loyal communities and real businesses based on solid support.

But now, modern platforms, obsessed with getting as much attention as possible through algorithms, have broken that direct link. This forces creators to compromise their artistic vision. Conte believes creators need to switch gears: the future is all about building strong, direct relationships with fans, focusing on deep community rather than just wide reach.

    ♣ Pop Culture

Check out this infographic. These are the next characters to enter the Public Domain

Copyright protection for popular characters is expiring, offering new creative opportunities. Copyright generally lasts 95 years after a work’s publication.

The original Mickey and Minnie Mouse (Steamboat Willie versions) and characters like Winnie-the-Pooh are already in the public domain.

    Upcoming entrants include:

    • Popeye and Betty Boop (2025-2026)

    • Goofy and Donald Duck (2028-2029)

    • Disney’s Snow White (2032)

    • Superman and Batman (2034-2035)

    • The modern Disney Mickey Mouse (2037)

Get ready to see new takes on these classic characters as their legal protection ends!

◘ Jennifer Connelly Breaks Down Her Career, from ‘Top Gun’ to ‘Labyrinth’

Jennifer is a natural, so beautiful and articulate. One of the most beautiful actresses in the history of Hollywood.

Jennifer Connelly shared some behind-the-scenes stories in this video from her movie sets. She spilled on Jim Henson’s super creative ideas for Labyrinth and even talked about her disagreements with Jared Leto while filming Requiem for a Dream. Plus, get this: Tom Cruise apparently thought her first sailing scene in Top Gun: Maverick was a bit boring, so he pushed for a more action-packed reshoot to make her character shine!

    ♣ Business

◘ How a Mathematician Became the Greatest Trader of All Time

Jim Simons used his coding skills to become the greatest investor ever. If you are ever interested in stock or finance, you might like this video.

Jim Simons, a former Cold War code-breaker and academic, launched Renaissance Technologies and its legendary Medallion Fund, pioneering the quantitative trading revolution. Instead of gut feeling, Simons’ team of mathematicians and scientists relied on algorithms and massive data sets to exploit fleeting market inefficiencies, a strategy so potent it generated an astonishing average annual return of 66% for 30 years.

Today, this $27 billion billionaire is focused not on stocks, but on the stars. Through the Simons Foundation, he is funding a massive observatory to unravel the mysteries of the universe, proving he’s a master of more than just the market.

    ♣ Photo of the Week

◘ Check out this awesome shot! Astrophotographer Miguel Claro snagged this incredible image of the International Space Station (ISS) crossing right in front of the Sun.

    ♣ Quote of the Week

◘ Having a problem? But can’t find the solution. Write down the problems first.

Inside SpaceX’s Revolution, Why Daniel Radcliffe Shed Harry Potter, How IShowSpeed Became a Global Force, and the Economics of Staying Small in Bhutan.

    Hi Friend!

    Remember me? It’s “Weekly NishIsHere

Your dose of curated insights on Tech, Creator Economy, Pop Culture & Business – handpicked by Nishat. It’s been 201 days since I last sent the last issue of this newsletter. But I am back from the long break, I am writing again. Ah, it’s nice to be back again.

Curious minds, curated finds. That’s what brings over 2,000 readers like you to this newsletter each week. You’ll discover 4 must-see links plus my personal Thought, Photo, and Quote of the Week.

    Let’s dive into today’s issue:

    • Be aware of peaceful mediocrity

    • SpaceX explained

    • IShowSpeed owns the world

    • These stunning portraits of insects

    • How Daniel Radcliffe pulled off a Hollywood magic trick

    Weekly NishIsHere! – Issue #73

    ♣ Thought of the Week

Peaceful mediocrity is the main enemy of great men.

Do you want a boring life? No, you don’t.

    ♣ Tech

SpaceX is revolutionizing the space industry, but what exactly is SpaceX? Here is the answer, no bullshit answer.

    ♣ Creator Economy

◘ You might know this kid!

IShowSpeed, just 20, is a huge deal, totally blowing up past the usual “American Media” scene. The way he pulls in massive crowds, kind of like Michael Jackson did back in his prime, is seriously impressive. And the craziest part? He’s just getting started.

    ♣ Pop Culture

◘ Even though he’ll always be “The Boy Who Lived” to many, Daniel Radcliffe has really shown his range since his Harry Potter days.

This video explores how he expertly stepped out of that magical shadow, diving into the unique and often quirky side of Hollywood. Moving from huge blockbusters to indie flicks, his career is a great example of someone who knows how to completely reinvent themselves.

    ♣ Business

How Bhutan Makes Millions By Staying Small?

Okay. This video might not be your usual business video, but there’s a lot of insight.

Bhutan’s totally nailed this tourism thing by focusing on quality over quantity. Instead of chasing huge visitor numbers like most places, this amazing Himalayan kingdom went with a “less is more” vibe. And guess what? It’s turned into a super profitable, multi-million-dollar industry!

Their strategy? They cap visitors, charge up to $200 a day, and (until recently) made tourists book through licensed operators. Sounds a bit backward for success, right? But it’s actually been the exact opposite!

This video dives into the economic smarts behind Bhutan’s high-fee, low-volume tourism. We’ll explore how they used their unique identity to build a luxury brand. From sustainable development fees to soft power diplomacy, this uncover how Bhutan’s made a fortune from scarcity, and what awesome lessons other countries and businesses can learn from them.

    ♣ Photo of the Week

    Hi Friend!

    ♣ Thought of the Week

◘ Are you independent in your food production? Do you buy groceries daily? Most people don’t know this, but check this post from Kevin.

He is one of the gardening influencers I admire, constantly showing us what you can do from your home. You can produce your food, you don’t need to buy things. You can get fresh vegetables right from your garden.

This is just an example he is showing. Now, tell me – Do you have a garden in your backyard?

    ♣ Tech

◘ AI is everywhere. Is it all it’s cracked up to be, or is it one big scam? Well, as it is for most things, the truth is somewhere in the middle.

In this video ColdFusion shows us that, despite some of AI’s useful contributions, the hype has also impacted the tech industry negatively.

    ♣ Creator Economy

    One year in 40 seconds

That’s the title of this video, and that’s it. If you like these types of time-lapse videos, this one is must watch. I wonder how much effort the creator poured into this video.

Time can really fly — sometimes it feels like a year has passed in the blink of an eye!

    ♣ Pop Culture

This is an X (Former Twitter) thread showcasing Jackie Chan’s most insanely dangerous stunts. I wanted to include this here. Since my childhood, I have been thunderstruck by Jackie Chan’s ability to do these stunts, injured multiple times, and come back to do more stunts after getting fit.

This man is a LEGEND. Go through this, you will be WOW!

    ♣ Business

This is the video you need to see if you believe you need millions of followers to make money online or build a business online.

    You are wrong; watch this.

Here, Alex Hormozi is talking about a woman who making millions with less than 6 thousand people following her, her average post gets 90 likes.

If you just want to start a business, please just start and go all in. You don’t need millions of customers, you need 1!

    ♣ Photo of the Week

A rarely-seen Canada Lynx was filmed majestically striking a pose in incredible trail camera footage.

The images were captured by the Voyageurs Wolf Project in the woodlands of Kabetogama Peninsula in Voyageurs National Park, northern Minnesota — where Canada lynx roam in small numbers.

Remote cameras, also called trail cameras, gained popularity in the 1980s. They have given humans an unprecedented view into the secret lives of animals and the natural world.

See more photos of trail cameras here.

    ♣ Thought of the Week

◘ Think about this. Are you climbing the wrong mountain?

    ♣ Tech

◘ Going cashless seems super easy and convenient, but at what cost? We’re giving up our privacy and control over our own money!

    Watch this video.

This comment from the video sums up everything:

“Give a man a gun he can rob a bank.

Give a man a bank he can rob the world.”

    ♣ Creator Economy

◘ There’s a lot of talk going on about creativity and AI. Famous content creator Casey Nesitat did a great experiment showing us that creativity will always win vs AI content.

Watch this video, where he makes a Vlog all scene and shots dictated by AI.

As Project Nightfall commented on this video

“My theory is that AI is actually going to make us more human and save the Internet in 2 years or so, because the whole thing is gonna implode and people will start wanting more raw, real, human content on the Internet. This vlog was soulless, but the scene with Candice was pure gold :D”

    ♣ Pop Culture

◘ It’s not necessary to be a fan of Taylor Swift to be impressed by her passion for music. I am not a Swiftie, but I am impressed by how she works on her music passion to become a self-made billionaire.

If you want to know how she does this, watch this video.

I admire Taylor Swift as a businesswoman and role model for young women. She demonstrates that it’s possible to pursue your dreams and achieve financial independence. loved her lyric, “Back then, I swore I was going to marry him someday, but I realized some bigger dreams of mine.” It’s so true.

    ♣ Business

◘ I found this cool infographic, which shows Mapped: The World’s Billionaire Population, by Country.

“The world’s billionaires—only 3,311 individuals—represent almost $11.8 trillion in wealth. The global billionaire population continued to grow in 2021, increasing by 3%. Over the same period, billionaire wealth also increased by 18%.

This map uses data from the Wealth-X Billionaire Census to visualize where the world’s billionaires live and breaks down their collective wealth.”

    ♣ Photo of the Week

An anonymous hacker has leaked thousands of photos showing what Iran was like under the Qajar dynasty in the 19th century.

Iranians and global citizens can now get a glimpse of 19th-century Persia, thanks to a Google Drive folder containing valuable archival photos uploaded online.

A historian told RFE/RL that Iranian authorities make it difficult for the general public to access these photos. “It’s as if they were trying to keep them as far from the public eye as possible,” Hamidreza Hossein told the American radio station.

    ♣ Quote of the Week

Be a bigger human. This way.

    ♣ Thought of the Week

◘ Someone asked on X: What’s the coldest quote you lot ever heard?

    And another person shared this.

When Novak Djokovic said this after winning the Australian Open in 2012.

One of the coldest quotes one can remember. This guy is built different.

◘ Sometimes, I have thoughts like this that are out of my imagination. I bet you too!

How quickly would the oceans drain if a circular portal 20 meters in diameter appeared at the bottom of Challenger Deep, the deepest spot in the ocean? How would the Earth change as the water is being drained?

    Here’s an answer:

    ♣ Tech

◘ The largest country in the world built a system to track its citizens. This is how they do it.

    SCARY!

VICE’s Elle Reeve heads to China to investigate the rise of facial recognition technology — and what that means for all of us.

    ♣ Creator Economy

    ◘ BAGDAD!

We read a lot about this city after the USA invaded Iraq. There’s some truth, and there’s some false side to every story. But how much do you know about BAGDAD, or its people?

Creator team Yes Theory shows you the real Baghdad in their “ 100 HOURS IN BAGHDAD IN 2024” video.

    MUST WATCH!

    A comment from the video:

“I was an American Soldier, and spent a year in Baghdad from 2005-2006. Mostly in Karradah, Al-Dora, and Al-Kindi. I watched every minute of this intently, to see if I recognized anything. I spent many days on patrol in the back streets of those neighborhoods. I made many Iraqi friends, some are now here in the U.S. Others are dead, and I miss them dearly. Especially my good friend Ruqqaya Ibrahim, who we called “Sarah”, She was one of my interpreters and was fearless on many missions. She died in 2017 and is missed by so many.

I was an invader, but the Iraqi people were kind and warm. I cannot take back the reasons why I was there, but I learned much from the Iraqi people and was changed by my experiences.

Thank you for this video. It brought back many memories.”

    ♣ Pop Culture

◘ I am a fan of DC films, TV series, animation, and comics. But I also love Marvel. Maybe I am the small minority who loves both of their movies.

I always wondered why Marvel films and DC films are different. Here’s a very good analysis of their difference. Ignore the clickbait thumbnail!

I like DC. “Detective Comics” (DC) makes you curious, while “Marvel” makes you think of something amazing. In Marvel stories, the audience usually knows the big picture: a huge evil plan, a massive fight, and a big win. There’s not much mystery about what the characters are doing or why things are happening.

    What’s your thought?

    ♣ Business

◘ Starting a business is not easy. You might have the idea, but don’t have the push. Watch this video, it’s a book review of Noah Kagan’s book “Million Dollar Weekend”.

I like this book. It pushes you to a simple task, simple yet hard. Which will help you start your next big business. Deya amazingly reviewed the book in the video. Kudos!

    ♣ Quote of the Week

“The most important decision you make is to be in a good mood.” — Voltaire

◘ Pause for a moment. Think about this. Is not that right? Is not this the most important decision of our life?

    ♣ Thought of the Week

    Are you a late boomer?

I was blown away by this article last week. It is the most interesting article I have read in a while. This article discusses people who gain success after a certain age, while their earlier life looks like a failure to most of their family members and society.

I was reading this article and thinking, am I a late boomer? I married late…in my 30s, got my first job in my 32s, and became a dad in my 33s. Surly I was a failure to many of my family members and friends in my earlier 20-28.

Here’s an excerpt from the article:

You Might Be a Late Bloomer – The Atlantic

What do you think? Read this article (Free version) and tell me do you also think you’re a late boomer? Or you too in your early age of failure? (if so, please wait. Life is not finished with you yet!)

    ♣ Tech

    ◘  I shrink 10x every 21s until I’m an atom – The Micro Universe

The video title tells everything. This guy shows you what the micro-universe looks like. You might see this in the Ant-Man movie (if not I am sorry), but this video is the most realistic version of micro-universe.

    Watch this, this is mindboggling!

    ♣ Creator Economy

◘ This video is one of the most creative things I’ve ever seen.

Famous tech creator MrWhoseTheBoss gave his wedding speech with the help of 500 drones!

I surprised her with 500 Drones for my Wedding Speech // MrWhoseTheBoss

One comment from the video –

“Came for the drones, stayed for the speech and cried for the love ”

    ♣ Pop Culture

Did you watch the new Gladiator 2 trailer?

Gladiator II | Official Trailer (2024 Movie) – Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington // Paramount Pictures

I was not ready for this! Denzel Washington in a Gladiator movie with Pedro Pascal? Hollymolly, I am in! (But nobody in the comment is happy with the rap song)

    ♣ Business

Do you follow finance YouTubers online? I do, and this video is interesting – there is a hatred against them growing fast.

Why? Because they lost all of their authenticity. This video deep dive on the online following of the finance influencer, and why it is dangerous to follow their advice in investment.

    Here’s a comment from a viewer:

“It was the crypto boom that made me realize how many of these guys were shills. They were all asking people to invest in a known risky asset, then came out later to act surprised. Anyone with financial credentials knows not to ask random YouTube followers to invest large sums of money in an unregulated asset.”

    ♣ Photo of the Week

◘ Today’s photo of the week is an inspiring story. Read this thoroughly:

“This photo was taken in 1997 at the Great Wall of China. It shows Jack Ma (the founder of Alibaba) and Jerry Yang (the founder of Yahoo)

Two years before the picture was taken, in 1995, Jerry Yang had founded Yahoo and had become an internet sensation around the world. As a 10-year old emigrant from Taiwan, Jerry had never visited China, but was invited to do so in 1997

The translator who was assigned to him was a junior staffer at the economic ministry – a guy called Jack Ma”

    ♣ Thoughts of the Week

    Source: @drgurner

◘ Do you believe this is true? Sometimes, this might be true.

I believe Spite and proving people wrong are great motivators for most people. I also feel burning rage when I think about proving those douters in my life wrong by becoming successful.

    What do you think?

    ♣ Tech

    Source – @macrumorslive

◘ Few days ago, Apple introduced Artificial intelligence in their devices. They call it – Apple intelligence. I know typical Apple. But the funny thing is the way they went to sell it to the crowd. The name is Apple Inteligence but it is powered by OpenAI ChatGPT!

What’s your thought about this? Will you use it or Are you using ChatGPT?

    ♣ Creator Economy

Influencer marketing is going to reach 24 billion dollars soon. Now universities are offering courses on content creation, your kids might want to be a YouTuber or a TikToker.

But how the hell do these content creators earn money? Do they earn anything at all? You might ask! And here is the answer –

How Brilliant Creators are Making Money in 2024 // Modern Millie

This video might blow your mind if you did not know you can make millions through content creation!

    ♣ Pop Culture

◘ Denzel Washington is unanimously praised as one of the greatest actors of all time. I like him through Book of ELI, All 3 parts of The Equalizer, Man of Fire, The Magnificent Seven, Unstoppable, and many more!

There’s Great Acting, Then There’s Denzel Washington // Renzy

This video analysis deepens his acting abilities and shows why he is one of the greatest actors alive!

    ♣ Business

◘ If you have a slight idea about football or soccer, you might know the name, Lionel Messi. I bet you know him from after he moved to Inter Miami after ditching Soudi’s billion-dollar offer!

You might ask, why I am featuring a footballer in this Business section. Because after Lionel Messi’s move to Inter Miami, their revenue tripled after Messi joined, Apple added 2 million subscribers to its season pass, and Addidas sold millions of pink shirts! Where Lionel Messi goes money follows!

But what about Messi? What has he earned? Watch this video:

The Insane Business of Lionel Messi // Athletic Interest

If you like this video, read this complimentary essay by The Generalist, from where the video was inspired. It’s long but it shows how far Messi’s business goes!

    ♣ Thoughts of the Week

Pause a moment, think about this. Internet and globalization gave us the power to connect with millions. This was only reserved by a few mainstream media, which never wanted people to become powerful with their voices.

Now, you and I have the power to reach people around the world. This newsletter is read by two thousand people including you! Can I think about this if I was born in 1970?

    ♣ Tech

◘ “You may have noticed that Google isn’t what it used to be. Search results are buried under ads and sponsored links, and when you do find a result, it’s overflowing with SEO garbage. You aren’t imagining things: the internet is getting quantifiably worse.”

    How Google RUINED the Internet

In this video, Adam explains how the same Google that once helped make the Internet more accessible to countless people has doomed the Internet itself for the foreseeable future.

    ♣ Creator Economy

◘ Can you make a movie and upload it for free on YouTube? If anyone did this, Will you watch it?

Filmmaker Wesley Wang did this exactly. And this is the result:

    nothing, except everything.

BTW, this film won numerous awards in different places!

    ♣ Pop Culture

They say, there are 7 people thats exactly look alike in this world.

If you believe this, then this documentary is a must-watch for you.

Why Does This Woman Look Exactly Like Me? | Finding My Identical Twin Stranger | Full Documentary

“This program follows 16 people searching for their look-alikes around the world. The public are also brought in to evaluate the similarities between the pairs in photos and in person.

Beyond the scientific aspect, the program looks to explore why people seek doppelgängers and how meeting someone similar prompts self-reflection.”

    ♣ Thoughts of the Week

◘ I was thinking about this a lot this week. Is not it true? We grow a lot when we change, we find our potential. When we lose something, that changes us for better or worse.

    ♣ Tech

◘ People are doing interesting things with artificial intelligence. If you missed the hype about AI, watch this. This is completely made using AI.

I believe AI has unlocked a lot of potential for creative people. Creative persons will use AI to hyper-speed their creativity. This is just one example.

◘ But, there is also another side of AI. It’s dark, we can not ignore it. The big problem of AI – Deepfakes. Yes, it’s real, we can’t ignore it. Check this, you’ll see how easy it is to make this type of realistic deepfakes for free!

We need to learn more about the dark side of AI and take precautions.

    ♣ Creator Economy

◘ If you ever thought, these YouTuber content creators were idiots. They are doing nothing other than stupid things, I urge you to watch this video.

Don’t let the title fool you.

They paid him 10 thousand dollars to see how far his London taxi could take them. This is the most awesome video I’ve seen recently. A must-watch!

One of the comments from this video: “I came to see who would be crazy enough to take the offer. Ended up staying the whole way just for Reg. I am glad I did.”

    ♣ Pop Culture

“When a married couple discovers a door leading to a mirror image of their home, they find a dangerous mystery on the other side.”

    Do you like horror stories?

Then you might like this short film

    ♣ Business

“Some of the greatest leaders you’ve never heard of are introverts. The one thing all great leaders have in common is an undying belief in their cause.”

I am an introvert. Sometimes it is hard for me to work with others. I guess, if you are an introvert, you feel this too. Take some time, Watch this video.

    ♣ Photo of the Week

◘ Here is an AI photo for you – “Polaroid portrait of JFK posing in the White House Oval Office with Marilyn Monroe, color polaroid, historic photo”

    What do you think?

    ♣ Quote of the Week

I believe this too, are you?!
