    ♣ Thought of the Week

    @david_perell

    ◘ Build a Personal Monopoly.

    It’s is a unique intersection of skills, interests, and personality traits that make you one-of-a-kind. Build yours by obsessively learning about an important topic, tackling ambitious projects, and writing about your best ideas.

    From David Perell, read his mini-essay on his this thought.

    ♣ Tech

    ◘ How the SpaceX IPO is creating 4000+ workers into millionaires

    In this MyFirstMillion podcast episode, hosts Sam Parr and Shaan Puri providing a relatable, simplified breakdown of the massive SpaceX IPO, which they characterize as the largest in history at a $1.75 trillion valuation.

    Ever wonder what’s actually driving the massive $1.75 trillion SpaceX IPO? It’s not just rockets; the company is a wild mix of launch dominance, the Starlink cash cow, and ambitious AI plays like Colossus. Sam and Shaan break down the ‘Elon premium’, where passion and ‘impossible’ goals often outweigh traditional finance. Whether you’re a skeptic or a fan, it’s a fascinating look at the risks, rewards, and the sheer audacity behind betting on Elon Musk’s vision.

    ♣ Creator Economy

    ◘ Inside TIME’s Wild Day with MrBeast

    TIME goes behind the scenes with MrBeast as he breaks down his viral video process, $5 billion media empire, giveaways, and full studio operation. He explains how he builds his biggest videos from idea to execution.

    ♣ Pop Culture

    ◘ Tom Cruise Doesn’t Blink

    Ever wonder what makes Tom Cruise tick? This deep dive into his life is fascinating. From his wild, death-defying stunts to the way his tough childhood shaped his legendary work ethic, it’s clear he’s not your average star.

    Whether you love his movies or just find his intensity mysterious, the video perfectly captures how he transformed from a young actor into the perfectionist who arguably saved cinema. It’s an absolute must-watch for any movie fan!

    ♣ Business

    ◘ Vanguard: The communist capitalist who saved investors a trillion dollars (Audio)

    Vanguard is the most effective vehicle ever created for participating in the fruits of American capitalism. Today it’s the single largest equity owner of the majority of corporations in the S&P 500, on behalf of 50 million clients (including, likely, many of you). And yet Vanguard itself is essentially a communist organization — it has no shareholders, makes no profits, and operates more like REI than Fidelity.

    If you own a Vanguard fund, you own a piece of the firm itself. Any excess margin instead gets returned to clients in the form of lower fees, which since 1975 have added up to roughly five hundred billion dollars transferred out of Wall Street managers’ pockets and into retail investors’ savings accounts. And oh yeah, it all started as a cockamamie revenge plot by a guy who’d just been fired by his partners.

    ♣ Quote of the Week

    @Suhail

    ◘ My favorite Elon Musk quote:

    Do not fear losing. “You will lose,” Musk says. “It will hurt the first fifty times. When you get used to losing, you will play each game with less emotion.” You will be more fearless, take more risks.
