♣ Thought of the Week

◘ Realizing that no one has it all figured out is the first step toward greatness.
♣ Tech
◘ A Web Revival: the Internet didn’t die, you’re just not on it
This is a fresh perspective on the dead internet theory.
The internet’s future isn’t just endless scrolling! Discover the “web revival,” a movement towards personal websites owned by individuals, reminiscent of the internet’s early days. This indie web offers a space for creativity and genuine connection, free from big tech platforms and data harvesting.
♣ Creator Economy
◘ The Internet Era Nobody Asked For
The internet is entering an “abundance era,” where AI-generated “slop” is flooding feeds. This content saturation makes it harder for creators to stand out and challenges traditional notions of authenticity. To thrive, creators must choose between pursuing massive scale, which is increasingly difficult, or cultivating scarcity by fostering deep connections with a niche audience.
In this video, Colin and Samir go deep into how creators can navigate AI slop and abundance on the internet.
♣ Pop Culture
◘ I am hyped for this Michael Jackson Movie!
Selecting a blood relative to portray Michael Jackson in his biopic was an excellent decision. I believe Michael Jackson would be immensely proud to have his nephew play him in his own film. I am extremely excited to see this!
Michael Jackson absolutely changed the game when it comes to music and performance. His stage presence was just electric, he could make a whole stadium lose it just by standing still. He hit a level of artistry that seriously hasn’t been touched, especially when you remember he did it all before the internet and social media boom. He’s simply in a class of his own, and honestly, you can’t really compare any other singer to him, no matter how talented they are. Bottom line: there was, and always will be, only one MJ.
♣ Business
◘ How Reese Witherspoon Turned Star Power Into an Empire
Reese Witherspoon, an A-list actress known for playing underestimated women, has strategically built a media empire with Hello Sunshine. Her company has revolutionized Hollywood by championing women’s stories, proving that these narratives are not only vital but also incredibly successful.
