◘Spotify signs Call Her Daddy podcast for $60m

Music streaming giant Spotify recently nabbed Alex Cooper’s widely popular podcast Call Her Daddy podcast from Barstool Sports. It is reported that this three-year deal is valued at more than $60 million.
On Spotify, Call Her Daddy is the fifth most popular podcast, and it consistently ranks in the top 15 across all platforms.
Spotify will become the exclusive home for all past and future episodes of the show on July 21st.
Podcasts continue to be a focus for the company. Previous deals include ones with the Obamas, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and Joe Rogan. The company also acquired podcast companies including Gimlet and Anchor.
